About Us
We are the Sawdust Fusiliers.
We are a family based Living History Group that tells the story of the Canadian Forestry Corps that were based in Scotland during World War 2.
Although the group is predominantly family other members do join us on events occasionally.
We focus mainly on 5 Coy (company) CFC based in Blair Atholl, Perthshire however cover all of the companies based in Scotland.
We also have our very own Timber Jill who represents the women that worked alongside the foresters. Timber Jills were a section of the Women's Land Army who were trained in forestry.
We attend events with our displays showing the equipment used, whilst also demonstrating the use of traditional methods of forestry using axes and cross-cut saws.
We have a list of events we are attending at the bottom of this page.
We hope to see you soon!
